Welcome to the new school year! We are excited to welcome the Class of 2011 to the halls of Winnacunnet High School! As we get the year started, here are some important pieces of information to know:

 

April 22, 2008

  • 8th Grade Mixer! On May 16th, from 7:00 PM -- 9:30 PM, All members of the incoming Winnacunnet Class of 2012 from Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Seabrook, and Sacred Heart are invited to attend a mixer event in the Winnacunnet Dining Hall.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door.  Appropriate school attire is required and no guests will be permitted to attend.  This event is sponsored by the National Honor Society.

  • The newest edition of the Guidewatch is available.  Please click here to download.

March 24, 2008


  • Today is the first day of Trimester 3!  Students will receive their schedules in a brief homeroom period and will then begin their new schedule.  Only students who have holes in their schedules will be allowed to make changes on the 24th.  Other students wishing to make changes to their schedule must make an appointment with their Guidance Counselor and will be able to make changes beginning Tuesday March 25th.  The  last day to make changes to your Trimester 3 schedule is Friday March 28th.

  • The SAT Prep Course  for the  Spring of 2008 will be held on the following dates:
    Reading/Writing--Mondays--5 sessions:
    May 5, 12, 19,
    May 27--the next to last meeting is on a Tuesday due to Memorial Day
    June 2--final session
    Math--Wednesdays--5 sessions
    May 7, 14, 21, 28
    June 4--final session
    Please sign up in Guidance.  The cost is $100 or $50 for the Writing/Reading section and $50 for the Math section.  The time for the course is currently scheduled for 6-7:30, but if there are two sessions, they will be held from 5-6:30 and 6:30-8.  An announcement will be made about the final time once the signups are complete.  Please note: if you play a spring sport, please be sure of your schedule before you sign up for this course.  We are not able to make any refunds once the course begins.

  • Juniors and Seniors interested in taking the ASVAB test can sign up in Guidance. The ASVAB will be given on Saturday morning, April 5th at 9AM.  It is free and will take a little over 2 hours.  Please ask your Guidance Counselor for more details about this testing opportunity  or visit www.asvabprogram.com .

  • Course selection for 2008-2009 has begun!  Upperclass students were given their Course Selection guides and forms in homeroom and have begun to make appointments with their Guidance Counselor to choose their courses for next year.  Please click here to be taken to the Course Selection page for 2008-2009.  All necessary applications, as well as the Program of Studies, are available on this page.
