The Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation, a non-profit founded in 2005 to benefit the high school, will be hosting a Comedy Night headlining local favorite Jimmy Dunn on Friday, May 9 at 8 p.m. 750 seats are available in the Winnacunnet Community Auditorium. Since forming in 2005, the Foundation has raised nearly $40,000 toward an endowment and awarded over $8,000 in educational grants.
Comedian Jimmy Dunn (www.jimmydunn.com, http://www.jimmydunn.tv) will perform at the Winnacunnet High School auditorium to benefit the Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation. Dunn is best known for his performances on NESN's Fan Attic, NESN's Sox Appeal, Comedy Central and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The PG-13-rated show is this spring's fund-raiser for the Friends, which helps enhance innovative learning opportunities for students. Doors open at 7 p.m. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The 7 p.m. hour will include featured student entertainment (singers, musicians, drama , art work, possibly dance) and a door prize. Two additional guest comics will perform: Jess Casciano (Boston Comedy Festival, Marshall's "Women in Comedy", WFNX radio ) and Rich Ceisler, HBO, MTV, Comedy Club Connection http://www.richcomedy.com/main.htm
