General Announcements
The library is hosting a 6 Word Memoir contest. The theme is "Six Words on Love & Heartbreak". The random winner will be chosen on Feb 14th, Valentines Day, and receive a Gas or iTunes card. Forms available in the library. Entrants may also choose to be published in Litmag.
This Saturday, January 21st we will be hosting the annual Empty Bowls event, from 11:00am-1:00pm. Come for lunch and help in the fight against hunger. $5.00 for lunch and $15.00 for lunch and a bowl. See you Saturday.
Please join us in supporting NH’s Winnacunnet Winter Clothes Drive. Throughout the month of January, there will be drop off boxes in the library, front office, nurse’s office, Mrs. Price’s office and in the dining hall for you to bring in all old or unwanted clothes. No undergarments will be accepted. EVERY BIT WILL HELP!
Parking fee refund checks are available in Mr. McGowan’s office during break and A, C, and D lunches.
Yearbooks – This is your last opportunity to purchase a 2012 yearbook for $65. Order forms are available online, outside of room E104. If you are not sure if one has already been ordered for you, check the bulletin board in the business wing.
The Seabrook Library is joining the 2012 Teen Video Challenge. Anyone interested in creating their own video for summer reading, please attend the Information Meeting on Monday 1/23 from 6-8 pm. If your video wins there is a cash prize.
Community Service Opportunity
The job & community service board is located in the D wing outside of Room D102. Come take a look at the many opportunities coming in weekly!
Community Service Opportunity: The Hampton PTA is looking for a few students to babysitting during their meeting at Centre school from 5:30-7:30pm on Tuesday, January 17th. Please come to the Student Activities office to sign up for this event.
Senior Seminar Projects
Help support Courtney and Christian's senior seminar project “Glow in the Dark Dance”, which is Saturday, January 28th in the dining hall starting at 7:00pm. Tickets will be on sale during all lunches starting Wednesday, January 25th. Tickets are $5.00 during lunches and $7.00 at the door. All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital. You can pick up a guest form in Mrs. Krapf’s office, D102.
Attention WHS students: Help support Vannessa and Aeriss with their senior seminar project, the “Dating Game”, which will be in the auditorium on Thursday, January 26th at 6:30pm. Tickets will be sold during lunches next Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $5.00 during lunch or $7.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Calling all bookworms! Help support Kelly & Nicole’s senior seminar project by donating new and gently used children’s books, preferably for ages 10 and under, but all levels of books are appreciated. The books will be donated to Boston Children’s Hospital’s Research Out & Read Program. Boxes are located in the lunch room, library, C-wing, and the main entrance. We will be collecting books from January 9th through the 19th. So please bring in books to help out a good cause!

Parent Conferences are today. Sign up sheets are available on the homepage. If you are not able to access the form online, copies will be available in the front office or in the guidance office.
Clubs & Activities
Interact members: We will be meeting next Tuesday, January 24th, after school in the dining hall. Please email Julia if you cannot attend.
There is a very important Student Council meeting on Tuesday at 7:20 AM. All student council members should make every effort to attend. Also, student body officers will meet with Mrs. Arsenault during break on Monday.
Attention Math Team members: The next meet is January 25. Practices are Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays as usual. Please plan on attending a practice next week. New members are always welcome!

Class of 2012 - Seniors
Seniors – Just in case your parents forgot...we still have limited room for your YEARBOOK parent ad – see Mrs. Harris for more info asap. There are only four pages available (or 8 halves, or 16 quarters, or 32 eighths, or any combination to equal 4 full pages - you can do the math).
Seniors interested in applying for the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarship can pick up information in Guidance. Students from NH can qualify if their parents have an AFL-CIO union affiliation. The deadline to register for the Feb. 1, Labor History Exam is 1.
Seniors – If you have a college deadline of February 1st please be sure that your yellow card(s) and student data sheet have been turned into the guidance office.
Class of 2013 - Juniors
Attention Juniors! You will be attending Junior Meetings with your Guidance Counselor today during block 1. These meetings will be important for you to become prepared for the Junior Career Fair next Thursday the 26th. You will be dismissed from your block 1 class today at 8:20. Please attend the meeting with your guidance counselor:
