General Announcements

Parking fee refund checks are available in Mr. McGowan’s office during break and A, C, and D lunches.

Attention all driving students: The corner parking lot off the auditorium will not be available for parking all day on Thursday of this week: January 26th. Please plan accordingly.

The library is hosting a 6 Word Memoir contest. The theme is "Six Words on Love & Heartbreak". The random winner will be chosen on Feb 14th, Valentines Day, and receive a Gas or iTunes card. Forms available in the library. Entrants may also choose to be published in Litmag.

Please join us in supporting NH’s Winnacunnet Winter Clothes Drive. Throughout the month of January, there will be drop off boxes in the library, front office, nurse’s office, Mrs. Price’s office and in the dining hall for you to bring in all old or unwanted clothes. No undergarments will be accepted. EVERY BIT WILL HELP!


Community Service Opportunity

The job & community service board is located in the D wing outside of Room D102. Come take a look at the many opportunities coming in weekly!


Senior Seminar Projects

Help support Courtney and Christian's senior seminar project “Glow in the Dark Dance”, which is Saturday, January 28th in the dining hall starting at 7:00pm. Tickets will be on sale during all lunches starting Wednesday, January 25th. Tickets are $5.00 during lunches and $7.00 at the door. All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital. You can pick up a guest form in Mrs. Krapf’s office, D102.

Attention WHS students: Help support Vannessa and Aeriss with their senior seminar project, the “Dating Game”, which will be in the auditorium on Thursday, January 26th at 6:30pm. Tickets will be sold during lunches next Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $5.00 during lunch or $7.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Clubs & Activities

There will be a Debate on Immigration in Ms. Scotto’s room, C214 at 2:45pm tomorrow, Thursday, 1/26. Everyone is welcome!

There will be a meeting today, January 25th at 2:45 in Room E105, for any student or faculty member interested in participating in this year’s Penguin Plunge to benefit Special Olympics. The plunge will take place on Feb. 4th. Please see Mrs. Arsenault with any questions.

There will be no LifeSmarts meeting on Thursday. Please practice at home. I will be checking your practice scores. The test to qualify for the state championship round needs to be taken prior to February 2nd in Mrs. Arsenault’s classroom. Please see Mrs. Arsenault with any questions.

Attention Math Team: We have a meet today January 25 at Pinkerton Academy. Practice is being held today and tomorrow. The bus will leave by 2:45 on Wednesday so come to room B204 right at 2:30. Thanks.


Class Information

Class of 2012 - Seniors

Attention Seniors: If you did not attend the Career Fair last year or if you have a specific career plan you’d like to explore at the fair this year, you must obtain a pass from your guidance counselor today only. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Only seniors who arrive with a pass from their guidance counselor will be admitted into the fair on Thursday, block 4 so please obtain a pass today if you’d like to attend and you have permission from your block 4 teacher.

Have you paid your senior dues? Check the lists outside of guidance or by the staircase near the nurse's office.

Seniors: Don’t forget to buy your class t-shirts today, Thursday & Friday!

Seniors interested in applying for the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarship can pick up information in Guidance. Students from NH can qualify if their parents have an AFL-CIO union affiliation. The deadline to register for the Feb. 1, Labor History Exam is 1.

Seniors – If you have a college deadline of February 1st please be sure that your yellow card(s) and student data sheet have been turned into the guidance office.

The Senior Class is running a “Device Drive” for an open ended amount of time. All faculty, students, and staff are welcome to donate any used or broken electronics, such as old phones or cameras! Drop off boxes are in the library, front office and teacher work rooms. PLEASE help your seniors out, and for any questions ask the senior advisors or staff.


Class of 2013 - Juniors

2013 Prom committee we will be meeting on Wednesday January 25th after school in room B 128.

Attention Juniors: Tomorrow, Thursday, January 26th, is the Junior Career Fair! Juniors with last names A-L will be dismissed from their 2nd block class to attend the fair and juniors with last names M-Z will be dismissed from their block 3 class to attend the fair. Juniors who attend the A.M. SST session will attend the fair block 4 and have D-lunch. Pre-registered seniors may attend block 4 and have D-lunch.

Class of 2013: Today, during lunch is the last day to pre-order your class t-shirt. See Mr. Edgar or Mrs. Scholes for order forms and to drop off money if you forgot. We are taking orders until Friday 1/27.
