General Announcements
Totem, literary magazine, is hosting the First Annual Totem Launch Party on Thursday, Dec. 13th at 6:30 in the library. The event will include live music and refreshments. All are welcome!
Celebrate the start of second trimester by dancing the night away! Get dressed up and join us for the annual Semi-Formal in the dining hall on Saturday, from 7-10. Tickets in advance at lunches Wed-Fri for $5 and will be $7 at the door.
On Tuesday, December 11, Hawley Library Media Center will be hosting 4 local authors during blocks 3, 4, 5 and after school. The library will be pre-selling copies of these authors’ books, which will be autographed for you. If you are interested in purchasing a copy, stop by the library to pick up an order form or check out the library display of these authors’ books. They will make a great holiday gift. Orders must be in by this Friday. If you have a free block that day and want to see these authors in person, stop by the library to see about signing up for their visit. Need a new book for SSR? Stop by the library to pick up something new to read. We have FREE SSR books on the book shelf just as you enter the library or you can check out one of our many other books for your reading pleasure. Stop by to see what we have available.
Community Service
The girls’ basketball coach from Lincoln Akerman School is looking for two students to help with the score book and score clock for their games. What a fun way to acquire community service. Stop by and see Mrs. Krapf in D102 for more information.
Clubs & Activities
This year’s spring musical is “Little Shop of Horrors”. Auditions will be held on Thursday December 13, and Wednesday, December 19. Students interested in auditioning can get audition materials and information from Mr. Moore in room A107.
Attention Math Team members: Math meet #3 is this Wednesday December 5th at Somersworth. Please meet in Room B203 after school. If you cannot attend please see Ms. Rhoades or Mrs. Bauer by Tuesday.
Attention Gay Straight Alliance: Movie Day is Thursday, Dec. 6th! We will be showing "Out in the Silence"- a movie about what is like to be gay in small communities. Refreshments provided. Room B220. See Ms Scott for questions.
Cinema Club will be showing the hysterical comedy Noises Off on Thursday at 2:45 in room C117. Come and join us if you’re in the mood for a laugh!
