General Announcements
Attention driving students: You may not park in the lot by the tennis courts anytime on Thursday. Please plan accordingly.
Empty Bowls will be held in the Dining Hall from 11:00am-1:00pm this Saturday, Jan 26th. Join us for community luncheon of hot soup and artfully handmade bowls. All proceeds go to fight hunger in our local area. $15 donation, $5 for a styrofoam bowl of soup.
This year at Empty Bowls, the Art Department will be holding a Silent Art Auction. Art students and teachers have donated paintings, drawings and jewelry pieces to the auction. The proceeds will go to the build a science lab Peace Corps project in Kenya. This project is proposed by Sean Berry, WHS Class of 2006 who is teaching science and math in Kenya. Please come to Empty Bowls and the Art Auction and become an art collector.
Attention all students going on the Spain and Morocco trip in February: Culture day will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 24th at 2:45pm in Mrs. Noone’s room. Looking forward to seeing you there!
The Hampton Rotary is sponsoring their 6th Annual Pizza Bowl fundraiser on Sunday, January 27th from 12 noon to 2 p.m in the dining hall here at WHS. The cost is $10.00 per person. Children 8 and under are free. Come vote for your favorite pizza vendor (Best Pizza, Best Crust, Best Cheese, Best Sauce, Best Specialty Pizza, Best Display, Best Non Red Sauce). This year we plan to surprise you with a special event as well!!

Attention Math Team members: Practice sheets are now available in room B 203 for the January 30th meet. We will also be available for practice Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays this month. Please stop in.

Class of 2013 - Seniors
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION: Please stop in the Guidance Office to pick up information regarding additional scholarships that are now available
Seniors! 170 of you have been selected to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress. The test will be given on Feb 1 from 9:30-11. Please check the listing outside Guidance, the dining hall, and the front foyer. If you have been selected you are required to test. There will be a brief assembly for the selected students at 8:30 in the lecture hall, 1/29.
Class of 2014 - Juniors
Juniors: Get excited to attend the Career Fair today! You will be receiving your yellow sheet to attend the Junior Career Fair today from your 1st block teacher. To be dismissed to attend the fair, go to class first and show this yellow form to your teacher so you will not be marked absent. Please note, if you are scheduled to attend the fair block 4, you must take D lunch.
