Technology at Winnacunnet
Our goal is to provide the students and staff with access to up-to-date technology to promote a modern learning environment. We hope to achieve a 1:1 student to computer ratio in the near future. Mobile Labs A part of the 1:1 initiative is providing classrooms with the equipment that they. WHS currently has 10 mobile laptop carts that teachers can sign-out for the use of their students. The other 4 are computer labs that can be scheduled for class use. These labs consist of approximately 300 computers. Interactive Whiteboards WHS currently has 7 Interactive Whiteboards in use throughout the building. These boards provide teachers and students with an alternative method of presentation. Faculty Computers Every teacher is provided with a computer for them to use in the classroom. There are approximately 150 teacher computers currently in use with the majority of them being laptops. Currently there are approximately 650 computers in use inside WHS on a daily basis. Our goal is to increase the number of computers available to the students until a 1:1 student to computer ratio is achieved.
