INtro to Graphic DESIGN
This course introduces students to the design process and the principles of design. Emphasis will be placed on problem solving and relating graphic design to communication. Students will study the principals of design, color theory, typography, and will use major design software including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Design elements of both print and Web publications will be introduced. Students will also explore career options in the graphic design industry.
Elements of this course will support the ICT digital portfolio requirement.
Advanced Graphic Design
This course will provide students who may be interested in a career in Graphic Design to advance their skills in both design principles and computer graphic programs. Student will learn how to integrate Photoshop and Illustrator images into print and web publications. Students will also learn many of the advanced features of Photoshop and Illustrator, and how they are used in industry. Students will use skills learned to produce quality projects in both print and web design formats.

Flash Animation and Design
Students will be introduced to the incredible world of flash animation and design. Students design and build animation using Macromedia Flash. Students will learn how to create rich interactive experiences for the Web, from banners and interactive menus to a complete Web site, using Flash. The objective of this course is to make you a proficient user of Macromedia's Flash Program and to enable you to design complete web animations using this valuable tool.
