For many of your written assignments, you will be required to do two things.

1. Submit your essay to www.turnitin.com by midnight on the due date. (Turnitin compares your paper to documents on the internet and in other periodicals and looks for similarities. A report with no matching text will appear as having 0% similarity. A paper using text from another source will have display the percentage of matching text as well as the sources that match. Having text that matches does not mean that you are in trouble... as long as the essay correctly cites the source of the material. Plagiarism is when an essay uses material from another source without acknowledging the source. Essays that plagiarize will receive a zero and cannot be made up.)

2. Turn in a hard copy to me in class the following day.
