Like all communities, Winnacunnet has its special events that over the years have become traditions. You may be involved either as an active participant or supportive audience member. The aim of these activities is for you to have fun and feel a part of the spirit of the school.
Spirit Week
This week-long event takes place traditionally in the fall to celebrate class and school spirit. Daily themes and activities are announced throughout the week.
Faculty Show
Just before the December holiday, your teachers, counselors, administrators, and other staff members put on a charity show. Tickets are sold and the money collected is always donated to a local charity.
Winnacarnival
Winnacarnival is a long-standing competition among the classes which takes place in February. Each class is awarded points for games and activities such as Winnabowl, a trivia contest and other competitive events that take place during and after school.
Junior Prom
The Junior Prom is a formal dance that takes place in late spring. Each class does fundraising so that by the time they are juniors they can host a fabulous evening. Juniors and their guests will begin the evening with a grand march that is always a photo-op for friends and family.
Senior Graduation
Senior graduation activities include a semi-formal dinner dance, or occasionally a breakfast, graduation practice, the class awards assembly, the evening scholarship ceremony, and commencement exercises.
