WHS CLASS OF 2023 JUNIOR PROM

Grand March

The Grand March will take place on Saturday May 21st at Winnacunnet High School. Students are invited to begin gathering at 4:30 in the dining hall for a 5PM sharp start to our runway style Grand March. Students arriving in rented transportation should be dropped off at the Dining Hall entrance. If students are driving themselves, please refer to parking details below. Once students enter the Dining Hall, they will be checked in by a WHS staff member. We are unable to have parents/guardians accompany students into the dining hall.  

Students will be exiting through the Lecture Hall doors facing the football field. They will walk down the ramp where they will begin their runway style march as their names are announced over our PA system. Students will walk down toward the gym parking lot.

Matt Parker will be on site taking photos at a staged photo area toward the end of the runway. Please make sure to keep that area clear and allow for Matt to work his magic! Pictures will be available for purchase on his website https://mattparkerphotos.smugmug.com/. There will be photo opportunities for friends and family after the students have completed their runway walk. We respectfully ask that spectators don’t interfere with the procession so that every student has an opportunity to enjoy the march and be seen by their loved ones.

Friends and family members are invited to line both sides of the walkway and are asked to stay off of the asphalt. If you need a chair, please bring a lawn chair as there will not be chairs available outside.

Parking for the March

All limos, party buses, and student vehicles must park in the gym lots.  Rented vehicles should drop students off at the Dining Hall entrance prior to parking in the gym lots. 

Spectators will be required to park in the upper lots (senior lot, Dining Hall lot, SAU 21 lot, junior lot, or auditorium lot).

Prom at The Ashworth

Physical tickets are not required. There will be a check in station with a list of all attendees.

The Ashworth is located at 295 Ocean Blvd in Hampton. Students who drive themselves can use the complimentary valet parking. The rented transportation should drop the students off in the front and will have to leave the premises and come back to pick them up later. Once a student leaves the prom, they may not return. The prom will end at 10pm.
